Innovation Week 2023 wrapped up by highlighting some of Calgary’s most promising startups at Launch Party – the largest startup-focused showcase of the year!
On November 23rd, 1,500+ people came together at Big Four Roadhouse to celebrate Calgary’s tech community and put a spotlight on 10 startups that are making their mark.
Hundreds of companies have been showcased at Launch Party over the years, including big names like SkipTheDishes, StellarAlgo, Orpyx, Virtual Gurus, Red Iron Labs and more!

Each year, Calgary-based startups apply to be featured at Launch Party. Our Selection Committee (made up of Launch Party alumni and investors) select 10 startups to be showcased.

Elevate their startup’s brand during our city’s annual Innovation Week
Feature their startup’s story on the Launch Party website
Receive social media recognition leading up to, during and after the event
A chance to win one of three awards and prize packs
Alex Raczenko Pitch Award: Selected by Alberta Innovates and Platform Calgary, in memory of a passionate entrepreneur and pitch coach who left a big impact on Calgary’s innovation community.
Alumni’s Choice Award: Selected by Launch Party alumni and an investor, this award is granted to a particularly innovative and quickly-growing Calgary startup.
People’s Choice Award: Selected by our amazing community (that’s you!) LIVE at Launch Party!
